Ricky P. Bateh – Of Counsel

block-3Ricky P. Bateh was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and graduated from Wolfson High School in 1974. Ricky attended the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1978 and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 1982.

While attending graduate school, Ricky began his career in laboratory medicine (clinical chemistry and toxicology) by working in the clinical laboratory at Shands Teaching Hospital. Following his postgraduate education, Ricky received further training in laboratory medicine by serving as a postdoctoral fellow in Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology at Evanston Hospital – Northwestern University School of Medicine.

From 1984 – 1986, Ricky served as a clinical laboratory director in Tennessee with the Hospital Corporation of America. In July 1986, Ricky returned to Jacksonville, FL and set up a toxicology laboratory for St. Vincent’s Medical Center (under Consolidated Laboratory Services) where he served as a laboratory director until 1991 when he entered law school.

In 1993, Ricky graduated from the College of Law at the University of Florida and opened a private practice in April 1994. Ricky’s practice of law was complemented by his affiliations with other groups where he consulted as a clinical laboratory director. In 2007, Ricky scaled back his practice of law to part-time and joined the US Navy as a civilian chemist where he currently serves as a laboratory certifying official for the Navy Drug Screening Laboratory.
